David De Michele is an independent composer and producer creating cinematic electronic-classical crossover music that blends synth voices with classical orchestration to create expansive, narrative-driven soundscapes. David is mostly self-taught with his music intuitively expressed through immediate improvisation, allowing the music to flow creatively. His music is contemplative, utilizing classical electronic orchestration, choirs, and vocals to accentuate the narrative. With few exceptions (motifs, occasionally), sequencers are not used. No track quantization is performed, preserving the natural tempo. Minimal engineering is performed, and no AI is used in David's music.
David has long felt a connection to the cosmos and has created a series of space themed albums over the last five years starting with COSMOS V which was released in 2022. Since then he's released 11 space themed albums with a new album currently in production and due for release during the summer of 2026. David does not read or write musical notation. Rather, his music is spontaneously recorded into his workstation with no advance composition.
In 2004 David formed his independent label, Indigo World Productions, which was cleared and registered through ASCAP's DART Claim Publisher Members and Affiliated Foreign Societies. David has released 24 albums over the last five years encompassing space ambient, neoclassical, Arthurian, and Middle-Earth inspired themes. His works are in worldwide distribution through The Orchard Enterprises, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment.
